Mindful Eating

The noise around you could be affecting your eating habits more so than you think!

While it might seem very Leave-It-to-Beaver, family dinnertime has more of an effect on our nutritional health than you might think. Researchers studied the eating and communication habits of 60 families, half of which were distracted by noise and unforeseen events, while the other half ate in peace. They found that the parents who were bothered by outside sounds or experiences not only left the table
more often, they ate more sweets, made fewer positive remarks, and paid less attention to their children.
