A reformed “Cardio Bunny,” Nicolle used to hop on the treadmill for an hour at a time, before breezing through the weight room on her way out of the gym.
Turning Point: In 2014, Nicolle decided it was time to make a change. She was tired of spending so much time in the gym, and still not being comfortable in a swimsuit or being able to wear the clothing she wanted.
Nicolle started to eat more whole, unprocessed, organic foods, and hit the weight room. The following year, she found a coach, joined FitNow, and entered her first Bikini competition in November 2015. She placed second and is determined to make her mark at Provincials this year and qualify for Nationals.
Fitness Philosophy: Working out is a choice, but fitness is a lifestyle. You have to be ready to make life changes to see real results.
Favourite Exercise: Compound movements like squats and deadlifts that get your heart rate pumping and your booty growing.
Advice: Don’t fear food! Utilize good foods to fuel your body. Eat clean and eat often. Also remember to treat yourself when you deserve it.
